Kimchi Party, Fermenting Fun Part 1

It's been a while, but now it's spring and there's a ton of fresh produce to choose from.

When Feeling Sad, Part 2

Sometimes when I'm feeling a little down I plaster my neighborhood with these.

Awesome Cork Board for an Awsome Lady

So I busted out this cork board (the biggest one I've ever made) for my special lady friend who turned 30 this year. She's my March birthday buddy.

More Food Stuff

I've been hella lazy this winter. No school, lots of rain, a really squishy bed (comes with a kitten) and lots of books. That means that I sleep too much and don't make art. That also means that since I'm in hibernation mode I need good comforting food. Here's some of the food stuff I've pulled out of my ass in the last month or so. Roasted chicken with orzo, homemade cranberry sauce and greens. I also made some bad ass grilled sourdough, havarti cheese, cranberry mayo chicken sandwiches with the leftovers.
Fresh pineapple salsa with brown rice, blackened broiled red snapper and greens. Hard to see the fish since I think of it merely as a vehicle to get that salsa into my face hole.
Fresh manilla clams with a garlic beurre blanc sauce comprised of a ton of wine and a ton of butter and another ton of wine in my belly. Oh, and a huge hunk of Grand Central's Petite Como bread. There's a fresh seasonal seafood place that just opened up like two blocks from my house. I think this clam thing is gonna become a regular meal for me. One pound for $5. I could eat my weight in clams for that price.

My Kitchen Work Space

This is the space that I tend to do most of my work in. And yes it is in the kitchen because my apartment is so very little. However, my fabulous brother-in-law Nick and my father conspired to build me a studio space in my basement. It has an actual working hood vent, shelves, metal table and even a set of deer antlers covered in Christmas lights. I'm pretty excited about getting my tanks filled (thanks again dad!) and I will be back in metal action soon. Pictures of my bad ass metal studio to come. Ignore the year old sponge and dirty work clothes. It's how I live.
